Slalom page
The Slalom course that will be run at the show is a JCNA (Jaguar club north America) sanctioned course.
One slalom "run" will consist of three laps around the course.
1.) The first lap is driven in an hour glass configuration, 2) second lap is driven in a figure 8, 3) third and last lap is driven as an oval also called "the hot lap.
All starts are from a standing start, and all drivers must finish the race by stopping inside of a designated area.
Penalties are assed at 2 seconds per cone, and failure to complete the course in it's 3 lap lay out (hour glass, figure 8, and oval)
or failure to stop inside the designated stopping area results in a disqualification for that one attempt.
Every entrant will be allowed 5 attempts at the 3 lap race, and the best time of the 5 will be counted towards the final results of the day
The fastest time that this course has ever been driven is (aprox.) 38.5 seconds.
That time was turned in with a race prepared car. Typical times run around 43-50 seconds.
